PRINCE2 7 Foundation practice examsIn development
PRINCE2 7 Foundation
Project management as PRINCE2 defines it: what makes something a project at all, the seven principles that cannot be tailored away, the seven practices from business case to progress, and the seven processes from before the project starts to after it closes.
What you get
Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.
What the exam covers
| Project context, people and the seven principles | Not published |
| The seven practices and the seven processes | Not published |
Two sample questions
1. What does the quality practice answer?
- What good enough means for each product — correct
- Who is accountable for the delivery
- How much the project will cost
- When each product is required
Why: Quality planning and quality control are its two halves.
2. Sustainability targets for a project are not being met, though cost and time are within tolerance. What does PRINCE2 7 expect?
- It is an exception, because sustainability is an aspect — correct
- It is noted in the next highlight report and monitored
- It is recorded as a risk, since no baseline has been breached
- It is dealt with at closure, when benefits are assessed
Why: Sustainability is one of the seven aspects of project performance in the seventh edition, so it can carry tolerance and a forecast breach is an exception like any other. Treating it as something merely to note is exactly the habit the addition was meant to end.
