PCPP-32-10x practice examsIn development
PCPP1 - Certified Professional in Python Programming 1
Advanced object orientation, interfaces and network programming: the attribute lookup machinery with slots and properties, the special methods that define behaviour and the equality and hashing pair, the method resolution order and abstract base classes, decorators and metaclasses; then pickle and its danger, JSON with custom encoders, explicit encodings and parameterised SQLite, sockets where TCP is a stream needing framing, HTTP and REST conventions, and event-driven interfaces with one geometry manager and an unblocked main loop.
What you get
Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.
What the exam covers
| Advanced object orientation and the data model | Not published |
| Serialisation, file processing, networking and interfaces | Not published |
Two sample questions
1. What does raising from another exception record?
- The original cause alongside the new one — correct
- The line number where the error occurred
- The handlers that were tried and failed
- The number of retries that were made
Why: The traceback then shows both, which is what makes it worth doing.
2. What does a graphical toolkit's event loop do?
- Draws every widget once at startup
- Validates the input before it is used
- Waits for events and dispatches them — correct
- Saves the window layout to disk
Why: Blocking work inside a handler freezes the whole interface.
