OutSystems Associate Developer practice examsIn development
OutSystems Associate Developer
Low-code development on OutSystems: entities with static lists replacing magic values and delete rules deciding what happens to children, server actions reaching the database while client actions must call them, aggregates against advanced SQL, widgets bound to variables, and validation on the client for feedback and on the server for protection; then the three-layer architecture with downward-only dependencies, roles with anonymous screens as the classic exposure, REST and SOAP integration, timers for batch work, and promotion through LifeTime with dependency validation.
What you get
Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.
What the exam covers
| The data model, logic and interfaces | Not published |
| Architecture, security, integration and lifecycle | Not published |
Two sample questions
1. What does the identifier type of an entity attribute prevent?
- Assigning an identifier from a different entity — correct
- Storing a value for a record that does not yet exist
- Reading the value from a different module
- Displaying the value on a screen
Why: The strong typing is what catches that class of mistake at compile time.
2. What does exposing an entity read-only to consumers mean?
- They may write but not read from it
- They may see its name but not its attributes
- They may query it but not write to it — correct
- They must copy it into their own module
Why: Writes then go through actions the owning module controls.
