NCM-MCI practice examsIn development
Nutanix Certified Master - Multicloud Infrastructure
Performance work and troubleshooting at the top of the Nutanix ladder: the Controller VM and the distributed services behind every symptom, the write path and what replication factor really means, then locating latency by layer, reading resiliency rather than capacity, lifecycle updates one node at a time, and the replication options from asynchronous through to synchronous Metro Availability.
What you get
Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.
What the exam covers
| AOS architecture, the distributed services and the data path | Not published |
| Performance, troubleshooting, capacity and protection | Not published |
Two sample questions
1. What do the CVM service logs contain?
- The guests' own application messages
- The hypervisor's scheduling decisions
- The detail behind a service's behaviour — correct
- The switches' interface counters
Why: Knowing which service owns the symptom is what makes the right log obvious.
2. What is erasure coding suited to?
- Cold, infrequently written data — correct
- Hot data that changes constantly
- The fast incoming Oplog buffer
- The distributed metadata records
Why: Erasure coding saves space on cold data where the compute cost of rebuilds is acceptable.
