Threat Intelligence and Case Handling with MISP and TheHive

Chiron Exams · intermediate · Self-paced

In developmentThis course is still being brought to our full standard. The questions and notes are usable, but they have not yet been checked line by line against the vendor’s own training.

The open-source threat intelligence and incident response stack: MISP structuring intelligence as events containing actionable IOC attributes, controlled distribution with TLP markings because some indicators are sensitive, and taxonomies and galaxies standardising and enriching events with MITRE ATT&CK context; then TheHive turning the alert stream into prioritised, tracked cases with tasks and observables, Cortex analysers enriching observables and responders taking automated action, and the loop where MISP intelligence enriches cases and new indicators from cases flow back to the community for collective defence.

What you get

350practice questions
5full papers of 60
2course chapters · 12 minutes
100%answers explained

Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.

Two sample questions

Two of the 350, with the answer and the explanation.

1. Which widely used tagging scheme governs how information may be redistributed?

  1. The analysis status
  2. The threat level scale
  3. The traffic light — correct
  4. The distribution level

Why: It travels with the information and tells the recipient what they may do with it, which no platform setting can enforce for them.

2. Which benefit of templates matters most during a serious incident?

  1. The case closes more quickly
  2. Nothing is forgotten under pressure — correct
  3. The observables are analysed faster
  4. The metrics are calculated correctly

Why: Under pressure people skip steps they would normally take, and a template is what makes the omission visible.
