MTCNA practice examsIn development
MikroTik Certified Network Associate
The practical toolkit of the small internet provider and business network MikroTik dominates: RouterOS managed through WinBox, CLI, WebFig or API, addressing interfaces and bridging ports to switch, DHCP and DNS, and static and default routing read from the routing table; then the stateful firewall with input, forward and output chains evaluated first-match, masquerade and dstnat sharing and forwarding a connection, wireless in access-point, station and point-to-point modes for a wireless provider, and simple queues allocating bandwidth — with the default configuration firewall a security matter a reset can remove.
What you get
Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.
What the exam covers
| RouterOS, interfaces and basic configuration | Not published |
| Firewall, NAT, wireless and services | Not published |
Two sample questions
1. What does PPPoE typically provide on a MikroTik router?
- An authenticated session to an internet provider — correct
- A layer two bridge between two sites
- An encrypted tunnel for remote workers
- A dynamic routing protocol between routers as it happens
Why: The PPPoE client on the WAN interface is a very common configuration on consumer connections.
2. Which firewall action adds a matching source to an address list?
- add-src-to-address-list — correct
- add-dst-to-address-list
- log with a prefix
- passthrough with a comment
Why: Chaining several such rules is the classic way to detect and then block a port scan.
