Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate

CNCF / Linux Foundation · beginner · 90 minutes

In developmentThis course is still being brought to our full standard. The questions and notes are usable, but they have not yet been checked line by line against the vendor’s own training.

The cloud native foundation: cluster components and the workload objects, containers and the runtime interface, scheduling and the security layers, microservices and the CNCF landscape, the three observability signals, and delivery through GitOps and deployment strategies.

What you get

182practice questions
3full papers of 60
5course chapters · 28 minutes
100%answers explained

Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.

Two sample questions

Two of the 182, with the answer and the explanation.

1. What does the Horizontal Pod Autoscaler change?

  1. The CPU and memory requests of each pod
  2. The number of nodes available in the cluster
  3. The number of pod replicas, based on observed metrics — correct
  4. The scheduling priority of the workload

Why: Horizontal scaling adds copies, which only helps for workloads that can spread across replicas.

2. What does an access mode of ReadWriteOnce mean?

  1. The volume can be read by many nodes at the same time
  2. The volume can be mounted read-write by one node — correct
  3. The volume can be written once and then only read
  4. The volume can be mounted by one pod in the cluster

Why: Several pods on that node can use it, which is the distinction people most often miss. ReadWriteMany is what a workload spread across nodes needs, and not every provider offers it.
