Huawei Certified ICT Associate - Datacom
The associate networking foundation on Huawei VRP, built on industry-standard concepts expressed the Huawei way: the OSI and TCP/IP models, Ethernet and IP with subnetting, the VRP user and system views, and switching with VLANs, access and trunk ports and spanning tree; then IP routing by longest prefix match and Huawei route preference, OSPF as a link-state protocol with areas and adjacencies, DHCP, NAT and ACL services with SSH management, and an introduction to NETCONF, YANG and Python network automation.

Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.

1. Why must the reference bandwidth be adjusted consistently across all OSPF routers?
- Inconsistent values prevent any adjacency from forming at all in practice
- Inconsistent values elect the wrong designated router
- Inconsistent values change which area is the backbone
- Inconsistent values produce inconsistent costs and suboptimal paths — correct
Why: Cost is computed locally from the reference, so routers using different values assign different costs to the same link and their path calculations disagree.
2. Why does a switch build a MAC address table?
- To forward frames to the right port — correct
- To assign IP addresses to hosts
- To choose the best route to a subnet
- To tag frames for their VLAN
Why: The switch learns which MAC is reachable via which port so it can forward frames precisely rather than flooding.
