Elastic Certified Engineer practice examsIn development
Elastic Certified Engineer
Elasticsearch in production: shards, mappings and the text against keyword distinction, index templates, lifecycle management and data streams, ingest pipelines and reindexing, the query DSL with filter context and aggregations, search application features, and running a secure, backed-up cluster.
What you get
Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.
What the exam covers
| Data management and data processing | Not published |
| Searching data, developing search applications and cluster management | Not published |
Two sample questions
1. Which query finds documents whose field value falls within bounds?
- A range query — correct
- A term query
- A match query
- A prefix query
Why: A range query matches values between the specified bounds.
2. How is a reindex made seamless for clients?
- An alias is switched to the new index — correct
- The old index simply keeps serving on
- Clients query both indices at once
- The primary count is reduced first
Why: Pointing an alias at the newly reindexed index lets clients switch over without changing their queries.
