CWDP-305 practice examsIn development
Certified Wireless Design Professional
Wireless as a structured design discipline: gathering requirements with the coverage-versus-capacity distinction central, predictive, passive, active and spectrum surveys each answering a different question, and an RF design of placement, power, channels and antennas tuned to requirements; then capacity planning against shared airtime rather than client count, high-density design with smaller cells, band steering and disabled low rates, deliberate roaming overlap and specialised outdoor, warehouse and healthcare environments, and validation surveys and documentation that prove and preserve the built network.
What you get
Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.
What the exam covers
| Requirements, site surveys and RF design | Not published |
| Capacity, high-density, validation and specialised design | Not published |
Two sample questions
1. Which mechanism prevents one slow client monopolising airtime?
- Band steering
- Multi-user MIMO
- Neighbour reporting
- Airtime fairness — correct
Why: Airtime fairness allocates transmission time rather than frames, so a slow client cannot consume disproportionate airtime.
2. How is offered load estimated in capacity planning?
- From the clients and their apps — correct
- From the building's area only
- From the number of broadcast SSIDs
- From the AP transmit power
Why: Counting devices and what they do gives the airtime demand to design for. Area alone does not capture it.
