In developmentThis course is still being brought to our full standard. The questions and notes are usable, but they have not yet been checked line by line against the vendor’s own training.

Running a Falcon deployment: the sensor and what it does not do, host groups and policy targeting, prevention settings and the detect against prevent trade, handling a detection, and containing a host without losing the ability to investigate it.

Two sample questions

Two of the 180, with the answer and the explanation.

1. Which is a benefit of containing a host rather than powering it off?

  1. The host continues to serve its users while being investigated
  2. The sensor stops sending telemetry, so the attacker is blinded
  3. Volatile evidence and remote response access are both preserved — correct
  4. The host's prevention policy is escalated to its strictest level

Why: Containment preserves the running state and the remote response channel, which powering off would destroy.

2. Why is a per-host agent identifier kept distinct from the CID?

  1. Many hosts share one CID but each is unique — correct
  2. The CID changes each time a host reconnects
  3. The agent identifier is what names the whole tenant
  4. The two are interchangeable in the console

Why: The CID identifies the customer and the agent identifier the individual endpoint. Confusing them makes host-level actions ambiguous.
