CCO practice examsIn development
Cellebrite Certified Operator
Mobile device examination done so that it holds up: lawful authority and its scope, seizure without destroying what is recoverable, the three extraction types and what each reaches, and a report that states what was not accessible as clearly as what was.
What you get
Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.
What the exam covers
| Legal foundations, seizure and preservation | Not published |
| Extraction methods and reporting | Not published |
Two sample questions
1. A recovered timestamp may be in a different time zone. Which practice avoids misinterpretation?
- Record the raw value exactly as it is stored
- Convert every value to the examiner's own local time
- Note the time zone and normalise it consistently — correct
- Exclude the artefact because it is ambiguous
Why: Noting the time zone and normalising consistently avoids misinterpreting recovered timestamps.
2. What does a logical extraction retrieve?
- Data through the device's interfaces — correct
- A bit-for-bit image of storage
- Only the deleted messages on it
- The device's own passcode
Why: It uses the device's APIs and backup facilities, so it is quick but limited to what those expose. File system and physical go deeper.
