200-301 practice examsIn development
Cisco Certified Network Associate
Routing, switching, addressing, wireless, IP services, security fundamentals and the automation that is replacing configuring one device at a time.
What you get
Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.
What the exam covers
| Network Fundamentals | 20% |
| Network Access | 20% |
| IP Connectivity | 25% |
| IP Services | 10% |
| Security Fundamentals | 15% |
| Automation and Programmability | 10% |
Two sample questions
1. How many collision domains does an eight-port switch create?
- Eight, one per switch port — correct
- One shared across all ports
- Two, split between halves
- None, as switches remove them
Why: Each switch port is its own collision domain, unlike a hub where every port shares one.
2. Which tool shows each router hop along the path to a destination?
- ping testing reachability only
- traceroute — correct
- show ip route listing entries
- show interfaces status output
Why: Traceroute increments the TTL so each router on the path returns an expired message, revealing the route.
