1. 802.1X fails for all users after a change. Which component should be checked first?
- The role that the affected users have been assigned to
- The wireless coverage in the area those users occupy
- The firmware version that each of the access devices is running
- The authentication server, its configuration and reachability — correct
Why: A simultaneous 802.1X failure points to the RADIUS server's configuration or reachability.
2. What does route summarisation at an OSPF area boundary reduce?
- The routes flooded into the neighbour area — correct
- The number of areas in the domain
- The MTU on the inter-area links
- The set of VNIs held on each of the leaf switches
Why: Advertising a summary rather than every specific prefix keeps each area's table small. A flapping link inside one area then does not churn the others.
