Arista Cloud Engineer

Arista · advanced · Varies by level

In developmentThis course is still being brought to our full standard. The questions and notes are usable, but they have not yet been checked line by line against the vendor’s own training.

The Arista way, built around the state database: EOS on unmodified Linux with agents communicating through SysDB so a crashed process restarts without dropping traffic and the state is natively programmable, the leaf-spine fabric giving predictable east-west performance, MLAG active-active redundancy, and EVPN-VXLAN over a routed underlay; then CloudVision as the network-wide hub for visibility and change control, streaming telemetry giving real-time high-resolution history that polling misses, and zero-touch provisioning with eAPI, Python and Ansible operating the fabric as code.

What you get

180practice questions
3full papers of 60
2course chapters · 12 minutes
100%answers explained

Papers are cut from the bank and weighted like the real exam, and no question appears in two of them. Every wrong answer comes back on later days until you have it right.

Two sample questions

Two of the 180, with the answer and the explanation.

1. Which is a benefit of automating device onboarding (zero-touch provisioning)?

  1. New devices are added to the compliance baseline at once
  2. New devices configure themselves consistently as they connect — correct
  3. New devices begin streaming telemetry before being cabled
  4. New devices inherit the configuration held by their nearest peer

Why: Zero-touch provisioning configures new devices automatically and consistently when they connect.

2. What does ESI-based multihoming allow that MLAG does not?

  1. Active-active homing past two leaves — correct
  2. A single uplink to just one leaf switch only
  3. A Layer 2 loop across the spine
  4. A shared VTEP address for two leaves

Why: EVPN multihoming with an Ethernet segment identifier is not limited to a pair and needs no peer link. It is the standards-based alternative to MLAG.
